We've been working hard over the last two years, building the best type of broadband available in the UK, and we're pleased to share that we're well on our way to achieving our goal of passing 1 million homes!
Our “build engine” has scaled faster than most other alternative networks in the market - reaching 100,000 homes in November 2022, we have now doubled our network size in the last 5 months to 200,000 - all within just 20 months. On top of that, we are now comfortably adding over 20,000 new homes to our network every month, and plan to increase that number even more over the coming months.
Having built full fibre to 200,000 homes within such a short period of time is a fantastic achievement for us. We have learned many lessons about scaling an FTTP fibre rollout in another market, and this experience has been invaluable to help us to quickly ramp up our build. Having now passed 200,000 homes, the next impressive phase of the network roll out will focus on the following 800,000 homes and beyond. We're excited to share that we will be expanding our network to many of the adjacent and surrounding areas where we have been growing our footprint in the UK: South Manchester, West Yorkshire, Lancashire and across the West Midlands including South Birmingham.
